Service Description

This pottery class is for teens and tweens (ages 10-17) where you will take the pottery wheel for a spin and learn hand-building techniques (slab-building, pinch pots and coil building). Adults (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, guardians, etc.) are welcome to join if they are accompanied by a youth family member. You will turn a lump of clay into a cup, maybe a bowl or plate, a cell phone holder, etc. Functional, durable and even dishwasher safe pots. You will carve, decorate and glaze your pieces to make them your own. You can have fun with your pieces and turn them into a cat, monster, dragon, or decorate them to look clean and simple. Your finished work will be fired in the kiln reaching a temperature of 2200 degrees F and ready for pick up within 4 weeks of the final class. Clay and use of tools are included. You only need to wear clothes that you can get dirty, an old towel and you can bring an apron (optional), very short fingernails are highly recommended. Class limit= 8 participants This 6 week session runs from Feb. 11th to March 16th, 2025

Cancellation policy: -you can cancel up to 10 days before start date and you will receive a full refund minus a $25 administration fee -if you cancel 5-9 days before start date you will receive 1/2 of the course fee minus a $25 administration fee -if you cancel 4 days or less before the start date there are no refunds available
